Objective : To promote assistance to migrant persons, such as refugees and asylum seekers, facing rooflessness, in significant material and moral difficulty, by providing for :
- free meals ;
- moral and human support ;
- a free legal assistance, on the asylum procedure in Italian law and European law, for those who requested it.
Location of the action : Esplanade in front of “Stazione Centrale di Milano”, the Central Station of MILAN, ITALY. Estimation : about 100 migrants.
Means and resources deployed:
June 26-27-28 2015 : Free provision of meals (pizzas and bottles of mineral water) ; moral and human support to Eritrean, Ethiopian, Iraqi and Sudanese migrants.
Iraqi migrants hace fled from war, atrocities and repression in their country.
Eritrean migrants have fled from Eritrea’s repression, known as a “State Jail” (http://carnetsdafrique.blog.lemonde.fr/2013/01/21/lerythree-est-un-immense-camp-de-travail-force).
Ethiopian migrants and Sudanese migrants have fled from war, violence, drought, and hunger, especially due to the Darfur war.
