FRANCE 🇫🇷, NANTES.

✅ Pioneer and dynamic, the City of NANTES will transform into a “giant vegetable garden” to give vegetables to families in need, following the COVID-19 epidemic.

✅ With Operation “Nourishing landscapes”, 25,000 m2 of land will be cultivated. Vegetables will replace flowers and green spaces will become vegetable gardens. This new experience will be accessible in more than 50 sites in the City, on more than 2.5 hectares. 1000 families will each receive 25 kg of vegetables.

✅ Food will be harvested between July and October with the help of voluntary organizations and residents. Summer and fall vegetables will be available, such as tomatoes, zucchini, beets, corn, squash, sweet potatoes, green beans, cabbage and potatoes.

✅ The project of the City of Nantes is part of the social dynamics of “Solidarity Territories”.
