✅ The City of PARIS has around 6,000 traffic lanes.

✅ Among these, only 247 traffic lanes have a name referring to a woman (or a female community), according to the selection criteria.

✅ Names referring to a man are around 3,200 or 4,000, depending on the source.

✅ The City of PARIS, becoming aware of this under-representation of women in the names of its streets, made an effort between 2014 and 2020 to correct this gender inequality, by assigning more than 150 names of streets, walks, alleys, gardens, parks and facilities according to the name of a female personality, bringing the percentage of place names referring to a woman to 12%.

✅ A map is available on the city of PARIS website.

✅ Numerous green spaces and public facilities such as gymnasiums, libraries, entertainment centers and colleges have therefore contributed to the place of women in public space in PARIS.

✅ La Ville de PARIS compte environ 6.000 voies de circulation.

✅ Parmi celles-ci, seulement 247 portent un nom se référant à une femme (ou une communauté féminine), selon les critères de choix.

✅ Les noms se référant à un homme sont autour de 3.200 ou 4.000, selon les sources.

✅ La Ville de PARIS, prenant conscience de cette sous-représentativité des femmes dans les noms de ses rues, a porté un effort entre 2014 et 2020 pour corriger cette inégalité de genre, en attribuant plus de 150 noms de rues, promenades, allées, jardins, parcs et équipements selon le nom d’une personnalité féminine, portant à 12 % le pourcentage de noms de lieux se référant à une femme.

✅ Une carte est disponible sur le site de la ville de PARIS.

✅ De nombreux espaces verts et d’équipements publics tels les gymnases, les bibliothèques, les centres d’animations et les collèges, ont dès lors contribué à la place des femmes dans l’espace public parisien.
