Opération de distribution gratuite de repas à des personnes migrantes dans des camps très précaires de CALAIS, FRANCE.

Objectif : favoriser l’assistance de personnes en situation de migration, vivant dans des tentes, ou dans des conditions très précaires, en grande difficulté matérielle et morale, en leur distribuant gratuitement des repas, et en leur donnant un soutien moral et humain.

Lieu de l’action: CALAIS, PAS-DE-CALAIS (62), FRANCE. Depuis plusieurs années, la ville de CALAIS est devenue une plateforme internationale de migration significative. Une équipe de volontaires de l’Observatoire Européen de la non-discrimination et des Droits Fondamentaux a distribué des repas gratuits sur deux jours, à une centaine de personnes en situation de migration, sur deux camps très précaires de CALAIS.

Moyens mis en oeuvre : 

14 Mai et 15 mai 2015 : Distribution gratuite de repas, soutien moral et humain à environ 100 personnes en situation de migration, de nationalité soudanaise, afghane, érythréenne et tchadienne.

Champ d’intervention ciblé par l’Agence Européenne des droits fondamentaux : Droit d’asile, Migrations et Frontières.

En 2011, quelque 20,5 millions de personnes non-ressortissantes de l’UE vivaient dans l’Union européenne, soit environ 4 % de l’ensemble de la population. À titre de comparaison, chaque année, 250 000 à 300 000 personnes en moyenne demandent l’asile dans l’UE (sources : http://fra.europa.eu/fr/theme/asile-immigration-et-frontieres).

Il existe un besoin urgent de créer une solidarité humaine et sociale avec les personnes en situation de migration, et d’encourager une responsabilité civile et sociale visant à promouvoir et à respecter leurs droits dans l’Union Européenne.
