▶\u00a0The European Observatory for Non-Discrimination and Fundamental Rights (OENDDF, in French) was present at the Meeting of social actors organized by the Abb\u00e9 Pierre Foundation for the publication of its 24th Report on \u00ab\u00a0The state of poor Housing in France – 2019\u00a0\u00bb. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

▶\u00a0The issue was: \u00a0\u00bb At the gates of the street. When the State abandons persons leaving institutions \u00ab\u00a0.<\/strong> This Meeting \u00a0highlights the cases of persons leaving prison, psychiatric hospital, or Childhood Protection Public Assistance (ASE), which causes homelessness. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

▶ 45 % of homeless persons have been homeless when they went out from prisons, psychiatric hospitals or Childhood Protection schemes. <\/span><\/p>\n

▶ 23 % of persons leaving prison do not have a durable housing solution when they leave, even though housing is \u00ab\u00a0a factor of reintegration and of prevention of recidivism\u00a0\u00bb. <\/strong><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

▶\u00a021 % of homeless persons who have been through <\/span>Childhood Protection Public Assistance (ASE) find themselves in the street within one year after they leave the Institution.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

▶ 4 million persons suffer from poor housing. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

▶\u00a0More than 12 million persons are affected by the housing crisis.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n
