✅ “Sleep merchants”: on March 10, 2021, the Correctional Court of Paris handed down prison sentences against two sleep merchants, one conditional sentence of imprisonment, and one sentence of 3 years’imprisonment,  with immediate implementation, which is an extremely rare thing.

The State Prosecutor had asked for the exceptional sentence up to four years’ imprisonment. 

✅ The building located at 62 Rue de Meaux, 75019 Paris, had been under a Decree regarding danger since 2012 and the accommodation was rented to vulnerable persons.

✅  2 real Estate Companies are also not only prohibited from operating but also dissolved.

A third company will have to pay a fine of € 500,000.

The lots belonging to them in the building will be confiscated.

Finally, damages were recognized against most of the inhabitants who had committed civil proceedings.
